In today’s episode you’re going to learn a new idiom that means to be busy. 

My hands are full – I’ve got my hands full. Czyli – Mam pełne ręce roboty.

W odcinku 137 ćwiczyliśmy alternatywne formy czasownika „mieć” czyli „i have, I’ve got” i „I got” i wszystkie będą miały tutaj swoje zastosowanie.

We can also use the expression „I’ve got my hands full.” in the context of physically holding things in your hands. For example:

When you are holding many bags and boxes in your hands, your hands are full.

Now, if you’re busy because you need to look after someone e.g. your kids, then you say: I’ve got my hands full with my kids. – hands full with something or somebody.
